***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***
VALPARAISO, PORTER COUNTY, INDIANA - After extensive deliberation and negotiation, Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP has recently undergone a major expansion.
Established in 2004, the Valparaiso law firm of Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP has gone from a modest sole proprietership to a firm of five (5) well established lawyers in Northwest Indiana. This general practice, full service law firm of lawyers serving the Valparaiso area in Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski and Starke Counties in Indiana has transitioned from a solo law practice to a significant law firm to be reckoned with throughout the entire Region of Northwest Indiana.
The Porter County law firm was established by Attorney Gordon A. Etzler in 2004 after more than thirty (30) years of service with Hoeppner, Wagner, & Evans, LLP. Gordon wished to escape the higher costs of a larger firm and maintain the level of service of a hometown law firm. Attorney Etzler established a solo practice on the corner of Napoleon Street and Indiana Avenue in Valparaiso at a rich and historical site, and Gordon pledged to find everyday solutions to the everyday problems of Valparaiso residents at the reasonable cost of the small law firm structure.
With Hoeppner, Gordon developed a well-established and well-known law practice with an emphasis in real estate law and small business representation. Upon leaving, Gordon maintained that vision as a general practitioner, with the same emphasis toward small business and real estate law. Since 2004, Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP has undergone many changes. Many prominent lawyers in Northwest Indiana have greatly benefitted from Gordon’s mentorship, as well as the leadership of its many experienced and influential lawyers.
In the summer 2010, Gordon was joined by a young lawyer, Attorney Christopher A. Buckley. At that time, Chris had already established a budding practice in the areas of criminal law and family law. Since then, Chris has been able to expand upon his experience to include Veterans’ benefits and advocacy, contract law, employment law, and has gained a handful of municipal contracts including the Porter County Assessor’s Office, the Porter County Animal Control Board, and the Porter County Animal Shelter Advisory Board.
In the Fall of 2011, Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP hired two (2) highly qualified associate attorneys, Anna K. Christodoulakis and Jacob G. Blackstone. Anna graduated from DePaul Law School in Chicago, Illinois, and Jacob graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law. Both attorneys came highly recommended, and have been performing superbly since they found their home here a short time ago. Anna practices in the areas of family law and wills, trusts, and estate law. Jacob practices in foreclosures, immigration, and criminal law, emphasizing expungement and sealing of criminal records.
Most notably, Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP underwent negotiations with a prominent real estate lawyer by the name of Attorney Thomas F. Godfrey. At the commencement of 2012, those negotiations came to fruition, and Thomas F. Godfrey joined Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP, Of Counsel, as of February 1, 2012. Tom is a great addition to GE&A, and will add a dimension of experience and depth the law firm has not seen since 2004. Tom has been engaged in many notable real estate transations affecting Northwest Indiana, and has represented small and medium-sized businesses as well as municipalities throughout the Region.
As well as the new attorneys who have come together as a force to be reckoned with in Northwest Indiana, Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP has adopted into its family an unparelleled quality of staff members who allow the Firm to serve its clients with the customer service and responsiveness that the clients truly deserve.
Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP is planning to continue its legacy as one of Northwest Indiana’s premier law firms. Though the Firm has undergone many significant changes over the past several months, GE&A does not plan future expansions at this time. We pride ourselves on the small firm atmosphere and service, and hope to continue the tradition of the solo practice Gordon envisioned in 2004, along with the lower cost structure that comes with our committment to remaining a law firm that can effectively and efficiently serve the residence of Northwest Indiana.
